What ages do you teach at Clef Winds Music Lessons?
We teach students aged 11 years old to 18 years old and adults, with personalized lessons to suit every skill level.
What instruments do you specialize in?
We focus on woodwind instruments, including flute, clarinet, and saxophone and also percussion instruments that include: congas and djembe drums.
Why don’t you use Zoom, Google Meet or FaceTime for teaching remote lessons?
We’ve found that fine tuning the audio settings to be adequate for remote music lessons can tend be tricky, so we use RockOutLive.Live exclusively as we’ve found their audio settings to naturally be conducive to a positive remote lesson environment.
Do I need to own an instrument to start lessons?
While owning an instrument is ideal, we can help guide you in renting or purchasing one.
Where are lessons held if they are in-person?
Lessons are conducted in a welcoming studio space, promoting focus and creativity.
I’ve been taking lessons virtually on Zoom, but I would like to switch to in-person lessons.
Indicate to your teacher prior to the date that you wish to switch lesson types and we will be able to switch you to in-person lessons.
What is the payment methods that are accepted?
Generally the acceptable payment method is via the application, Zelle. More information will be given to you upon your registration as part of the Payment Policy in your Official Welcome Packet
I’ve been taking lessons at 40 minutes for a few weeks and we think we are ready to upgrade to 55 minutes.
Indicate to your teacher the date that you wish to switch lesson types and we will make the switch for you
What is needed for virtual Zoom Music Lessons?
A quiet space with minimal distractions, an Ipad or computer with the most updated Zoom Conferencing Software, a music stand set-up in the space and adequate lighting for reading
I noticed that you only offer 40 minute and 55 minute lessons?
We have found that half an hour lessons to me much to short to provide the quality instruction that our students deserve. Our method includes warm ups for the mind, the lungs and the muscles.
